Christchurch Cathedral.

Ten years ago today – 22nd. February, 2011 – a devastating earthquake badly damaged this beautiful little cathedral in Christchurch New Zealand.

Plans are now underway to restore this building which hopefully will be finished by 2028.

I understand there is a huge area of the city destroyed by the earthquake, then cleared and is now returning to nature.

  I heard that, too. I for one would be loathe to live in Christchurch after that earthquake. Seems to me, returning it back to nature would be the way to go.
